Oya Inc is a venture with primary focus on youth, opportunities, and entrepreneurship. Three young minds—Khagendra Acharya, Parshu Aryal, and Firoj Ghimire came up with an idea of creating a platform for connecting opportunities from all over the world and the opportunity seeking youth. The idea soon got the form of Oya Opportunities—a venture started under the company Oya Inc. Oya Inc then started its second venture—Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (GEB) and the third venture—Oya School.
Currently, Khagendra Acharya is the Founder and Chairman of Oya Inc, Parshu Aryal is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director, whereas Firoj Ghimire is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Oya Inc and its subsidiaries currently have reach to more than 90 countries where they have been actively functioning ever since the establishment.
Oya Opportunities is the first project of Oya Inc. Ever since its establishment, the venture has been totally dedicated to the opportunity seeking youth. In the competitive environment of today’s global scenario, opportunity is what a young mind looks for in order to learn, grow, and prosper. To cater to the needs of such young minds, Oya Opportunities was established such that it relays information on opportunities like scholarship, fellowship, internship, competition, conferences, and more from across the globe. Oya Opportunities has been working as a bridge between numerous organizations and the youngsters so as to boost their career.
A notable feature of Oya Opportunities is that it is not just for a youth of certain region or country. Oya Opportunities, being the largest opportunity platform, has information on global opportunities tailored for youth of any region and country. After the success of Oya Opportunities site, Oya Inc. has recently launched app for Android and is planning to launch iOS version in early 2019. The app has been especially designed for the youth who are on regular quest for opportunities in order to capitalize on them. The app has features like browsing through opportunities under various categories, saving opportunities in order to view them later, sharing the opportunities to colleagues, friends, or other loved ones on facebook and twitter and much more.
Entrepreneurship is the new charger for economies across the world. Oya Inc has been promoting entrepreneurship ever since it introduced its first venture—Oya Opportunities by providing information on various events related to entrepreneurship from all over the world.
Oya Inc realized need of an intensive program dedicated to brewing up young entrepreneurs from across the globe since most of the events on entrepreneurship at that time were dedicated to existing entrepreneurs rather than creating new ones. Giving the realization a form of event, Oya Inc designed and organized the Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (GEB) in Kakani, Nepal.
Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was introduced as a 4-day educational/leadership session designed for the youth. GEB brought together many young innovative minds from around the world and placed them on a common platform to innovate and create new businesses through collaboration. The primary aim of GEB was to provide participants an overwhelming lifetime experience to develop the necessary entrepreneurial skills to start their own venture. GEB became the platform to interact with mentors, successful entrepreneurs who are willing to hear what budding entrepreneurs are thinking of and guide them on the right path to making a successful startup.
The success of the first edition of the bootcamp led to the second edition being organized in Bangkok, Thailand. Likewise, the third Bootcamp was hosted around 160 participants from 35 different countries in Jakarta, Indonesia.
GEB has grown successively in the second and third editions. The event has grown from an educational and leadership session on entrepreneurship to a bridge connecting the innovative minds and global investors by the third edition. In each successive edition, GEB has constantly updated and revised its format in order to make it simpler for young minds, keeping its originality unharmed.
In the three editions of the GEB, delegates from more than 50 different countries were welcomed. Oya Inc has focused on imparting entrepreneurial education through the GEB, with special emphasis on Asian and African countries where entrepreneurship is just a new term.
Oya School is the third and the most recent venture of Oya Inc. Oya Inc had been providing information on scholarships and fellowships of various universities globally with the introduction of Oya Opportunities. Oya Inc team introduced Oya School as a new venture to focus exclusively in providing mentorship in university application.
